  • Launches fourth resident Crew: Commander Yuri Onufrienko, Carl E. Walz and Daniel Bursch; Return Culbertson, Dezhurov and Turin.
  • Provides for research work by delivering experiment racks for US Laboratory and two storage racks.
  • Spares Pallet provides an exterior "warehouse" for spare station parts. Attached to the exterior of the station airlock, it will house spare replacement equipment for station maintenance in a location convenient to spacewalking astronauts.
