ISS 6th Crew: The Photo Album


STS-113 Astronauts with a new international ISS Crew is scheduled to liftoff on November 12, 2002. The Crew of three will begin living aboard the International Space Station as 6th Crew.
The crew  includes International Space Station Commander Kennet D. Bowersox (U.S. Astronaut), Nikolai M. Budarin (Russian Cosmonaut) and Donald R. Pettit (U.S. Astronaut) as Flight Engineers.

PERSONAL DATA: Born November 14, 1956, in Portsmouth, Virginia, but considers Bedford, Indiana, to be his hometown.

Nikolai M. Budarin

PERSONAL DATA: Born April 29, 1953, in Kirya, Chuvashia (Russia). Married to Marina Lvovna Budarina (nee Sidorenko). There are two sons in the family, Dmitry and Vladislav. His hobbies include fishing, skiing, picking mushrooms. 

Donald R. Pettit

PERSONAL DATA: Born April 20, 1955 in Silverton, Oregon. Married. Two children.
Initially assigned as a backup crewmember, Dr. Pettit has now been assigned to the crew of Expedition-6 for a 4-month stay aboard the International Space Station.

    First left-side truss segment (ITS P1); Crew and Equipment Translation Aid (CETA) Cart B.

    1. Delivers the first port truss segment, P1 Truss, to be attached to the central truss segment, S0 Truss. Also includes additional cooling radiators that will remain stowed until flight 12A.1.

    2. The Crew and Equipment Translation Aid Cart can be used by space walkers to move along the truss with equipment.
STS-113 will serve as a crew rotation flight. Shuttle Endeavour will deliver the Expedition Six Crew to the station and will return the Expedition Five Crew to Earth.
